   This
movie went on my list after I heard a verification of its
accuracy in an interview of a person who lived through this
horrific experience. It's not a movie that can
be critiqued like any other story. The carnage
was terrible .... as I am sure it was during the real
event. The summation was 19 US killed - 1,000
Somalia's killed.
In my book, when they say about 1,000, it means they have
no idea how many were killed.
   The dramatization of
this event probably has some redeeming value as an anti-war
message, or maybe as a historical document.Â
Adidi was a bad son-of-a-bitch, but that never explained
for me, how the military strategist who planned this could
have miscalculated so badly - or never considered
contingencies for an attack like this.
   This was a difficult
film to watch and it has been difficult to think about
afterward. The statistics tell the
story.Â
