Robert De Niro and Eddie Murphy got silly in "Showtime" - De Niro is getting better with one liners although it's hard to put up with his dead-pan delivery for every line in the movie.  Murphy's outrageous style was mediated by teaming him with De Niro - this made the movie reasonable.  There's something for everyone here - some laughs at snappy dialogue - action - car crashes - fights.  Some of the out-takes at the end were as funny as the movie - maybe better.  Don't go see this for character development or meaningful plot line - it's not there.
