Carol Wood Reviews:

Fondle the Fear
by Richard Stockton

I met Richard Stockton at the California Writers Club Penninsula branch meeting last year. Richard is an exuberant speaker. He really gets the audience involved. His approach is well, fearlessly funny.

His book Fondle the Fear is a repeater. You want to pick it up anytime you feel defeated because it will teach you how to make your bad mood work for you. It's very upbeat like Richard. On every one of the right side pages is a quote from Richard that just cracks you up like this one.

You can say, "Yes, you caught me talking to myself."
or
"Hey! I'm in a meeting here."

Then on the other right side (One is the left, I forget which one.) you will find some fast and furious story of Richard's about how he overcame his fear of say hurricanes. Yes, he was really caught in one and you have to read about his experience.

This is one of the best Good Feeling books I've come across recently, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's one of those books you can come back to again and again. Check out his website for places to purchase his book and to find out where he is speaking next. www.richardstockton.com
