Franchon Lyons Reviews:
My Crazy Coastal Catastrophe Cat
by Kristen Twedt
Illustrated by Dwelia Haas

This coastal adventure by Kristen Twedt was fun and fanciful. A great read aloud story for children as well as pet owners. The Catastrophic Tabby Cat was a great character. He had a personality that would not quit. He was precocious and unmanageable but his owner was determined to enjoy their day at the beach. Her kindness persevered and the catastrophe cat learned his lesson. The story had an enticing rhythm that made it easy to read. The Illustrations by Dwelia Haas were attractive and humorous. Her artistry gave the images in this story character.
My teenage son enjoyed the book. He thought it was comical. He liked that the cat got into so much trouble. My tween daughter liked the book also she thought the cat was cute and she felt sorry for owner who had to be embarrassed by her mischievous feline. My infant daughter became quite calm while I was holding her in my arms and reading this pleasantly poetic book. I am sure all families will enjoy this book as I did. Sharing stories as fun as this one is a pleasure. |
