Blues in the Night

At Bubba’s Blues the jam sessions begin at midnight.
Jimmy Chins takes the lead on trumpet,
Tommy Blue joins in on clarinet.
Bubba romances the bass
and the new kid who calls himself Skins
makes the drums speak to the crowd.
As the lights cool down and the music gets hot
jazz feet dance behind the sax.
And the dawn slides in humming a tune.
