Astronaut Edward H. White II made a lady author very happy at a Houston reception.
"Ma'am,' he told her, "I was reading your book while we were in orbit--and I just couldn't put it down."
Which gets me to the reason for this e-mail. I have just finished reading Andy Andrews "Island of Saints'. This is a truly spell binding book and I recommend it highly.
The story takes us back to WW2 times in a small fishing town off the Gulf coast.
No it is not a war story.
Author Andrews is hailed by the NY Times as a "modern day Will Rogers" who has quietly become one of the most influential people in America.
I know you will enjoy it. The book has only 239 pages and I, truly, could not put it down.
Tim Brando, CBS Sports Host and Commentator states, " The principle woven into this incredible story has changed my life." |
