 Hello Friends,

This is a reconstruction of what it is like to have a conversation with me in German, translated to English for your convenience.

(Scene: a busy Vienna street, me sitting at a sidewalk cafe, considering whether to order another coffee or
start the arcane ritual required to pay, when...)

She: 'Hey, hello, haven't seen you for a while. What's going on?'
Me: 'Thank you, good. You well looking are. You weight gained have?
She: Oh thanks, I mean...?
Me: Oops, weight losed.
She: Yes, actually, I have lost 4 kilos.
Me: Hearty gratulations! How must you feel.
She: So, how is your German?
Me: He more better each day becoming is.
She: Yes, I can tell. You're really speaking better.
Me: I thank you. Is your friend, the Heiner, how?
She: My boyfriend Heiner? He's fine, he's on a trip to Berlin.
Me: Oh, I in summer there was! Nonetheless had me boyfriend with I.
She: And did you two enjoy it?
Me: In the city Berlin, I she like. She beautiful is, she not also ugly as me is told been. My boyfriend the Laurenz, he better Cologne city will liked have.
She: Heiner loves Berlin. But nobody can find a job there.

She: huh?
